As I pilot, I am always attracted to airporta and airplanes.  On this particular evening I had a just left a business meeting and thought I would stop by the airport and watch the planes.  With the last glimmer of color still showing in the sky, I decided to try the Nikon's 3D Matrix metering on this difficult lighting situation.  This image is from the basic exposure calculated by the 3D system.

While I'm still more comfortable using the Zone System for calculating my exposures, I am VERY IMPRESSED with the Nikon's 3D Matrix system, especially when using color transparency film with its inherent lack of exposure latitude.
